Light Yagami es un excelente estudiante japonés que ha tenido una vida aburrida. Esto cambia radicalmente cuando encuentra tirado en el suelo un misterioso cuaderno llamado DEATH NOTE (Cuaderno de la muerte) en la portada. Light se mantiene escéptico hasta probar la eficacia del Death Note en dos ocasiones. Luego lo visita Ryuk, un Shinigami (Dios de la muerte) que le explica sobre la existencia de dicha especie y de las Death Notes. El cuaderno es usado para matar a todos quienes se escriba su nombre, por lo que Light decide usarlo para limpiar el mundo de maldad.Nombre:death Note
